Tunisia won the CAR Women's Sevens tournament in Thiès, Senegal on 24/25 April 2011, beating the Senegal 5-0 in the final.
During the six-team tounament, the Tunisians beat Burkina Faso & Egypt in the pool stages, while the Senegalese won against Cameroon & Morocco.
Early internationals were played by Senegal against Côte d'Ivoire. Senegal played a number of internationals in 2003 and 2004, and then in 2005, played in qualifying tournaments for the 2007 World Cup Rugby in France.
The Senegal national rugby union team - They are ranked as a tier-three nation by the International Rugby Board (IRB). Senegal have thus far not qualified for a World Cup Rugby , but have competed in qualifying tournaments. They also contest the annual Africa Cup.
